Garib Rath train was introduced in the year 2005 by the Indian railways in an attempt to provide fully air conditioned travel to those categories of passengers who cannot afford to travel by fully air conditioned coaches in the other trains such as Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express.

As the name signifies Garib Rath is in no way just for the poor class people alone and run faster than other super fast trains presently run by the Indian railways. The speed of the Graib Rath train is in no way less to Rajdhani express. However to avail the facility of blankets and pillows in the Garib Rath train the passenger needs to pay for the same to get them.

Garib RathGarib Rath train has a continuous running electronic display which shows the next expected stations name, the amount of time it will take to reach there which is undoubtedly a very useful information for the passengers in the train.

The coaches in Garib Rath are well maintained displaying paintings of the Indian heritage artwork at its best. A Garib Rath train run faster and tends to stop only at few stations commercially connecting important routes. The cleanliness in the coaches of Garib Rath is fairly good and the fare too is affordable. And thus Indian Railways intention of providing its passengers air-conditioned trains with all the modern amenities stands fulfilled.

Garib Rath trains are an asset to most of the prominent cities in India such as The Bangalore city junction, New Delhi Railway Junction, Mumbai Junction etc.

Overall with the introduction of the Garib Rath train all classes of passengers can travel in the luxury of air-conditioned, hygienic, comfortable and Yet affordable for all train. An added increase in the frequency and the routes of Grib Rath train would do wonders for passengers as well as for Indian Railways. Wish all a very happy and safe Journey.
